The Evil that People Do
Good & Evil has always been part of the greater duality; a part of the original process of origin in which the Source Energy splits itself into two parts...the male part Creator and his mirror female part Creation. Later that was reflected from within Creation, where there was Oneness as there used to be on the outside of Creation. But this Oneness got separated by the original ignorance to reflect the outside conditions. The ignorance resulted in John and Jane so it was the same as on the outside of Creation....where John is the mirror image of the male part resulting from the Source and Jane is the mirror image of female part resulting from the Source. All of them metaphysical!
The events of John and Jane lead to the first archetypal definitions for today's Man and Woman...with a big problem. Men and Women do not see themselves as the little Creators and Creations. They forgot and are now filled with fear, doubt, ignorance, self deception and they have so much of it, that they gave it a general label and they blame it for everything and see everyone (including themselves) as such...as a false image.
Men and Women, unaware they are not just flesh and bone and what they can do - create with their mind and how, when in large enough numbers, their mind creations become the general patterns or call it memes.
This then extended into hot and cold, fire and ice, black and white....good and evil, right and wrong...etc.
The duality shows itself in many forms. The most common and general form is 'us versus them'. The knowledge of such a "split" existing in the human group mind serves those being aware of it...those who would take an advantage of it by enhancing it and using it for their own needs.
The result is the world you live in. You can see all of it. Just step outside and look around you. If you have awareness you will see it.
You originate from the same Source as everyone else. The duality is an illusion. The external variants such as shape, color, customs, traditions...etc should be seen as something enriching the physical existence. Sadly this is not so.
Most forgot....forgot that they are all parts of each other...You are Me....I am You. The ones you hate, love, despise, fear, adore, like, dislike...etc, all of them are your brothers and your sisters.
